Ballaminers House

You will find the 18th century Cornish farmhouse, Ballaminers House tucked away on a leafy lane in the picturesque village of Little Petherick, and only a pebble throw away from not only one, but also eight stunning coastal beaches.

Enjoy a short two-mile stroll across outstanding countryside and along the Camel River to be in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the charming harbour town, Padstow.

The farmhouse sleeps up to 8 people with 4 bedrooms including a super-king (which can be converted to large twin beds), and a king-size bed as well as a double and a twin bedroom. Wake up to views out of the beautiful sash windows across the meadows and fields often with cows or sheep grazing.

The family bathroom, in the house is complete with an original roll top bath with scroll feet and brass taps. The bath was removed from a former Mine Captain’s house in St Austell and found a new home at Ballaminers House. You will also find a shower-room, with a large walk in shower, toilet and basin.

There are 3 reception rooms with the choice of snuggling up next to the real log fire and watching a movie on the flat screen TV. Or select a book, sink into a chair in the reading room and the third lounge is a quiet room where you are able to listen to music and unwind on the comfortable sofas.

Of course in true country style you can enjoy the breakfast/dining room with a twin oven Blue Aga that is next to the kitchen, which is well equipped with an electric double oven and hob and large stainless steel fridge/freezer.

You will also find a washing machine and separate dryer, full size dishwasher, microwave oven, De Longhi filter coffee maker. This is a really sociable area whilst preparing breakfast or dinner.

The dining room offers a relaxed informal feel with original features, which include a window seat and Georgian shutters and old slate floors.

Guests can also enjoy stylish alfresco dining in great comfort on the dining terrace where there are 8 large rattan chairs and a large rattan dining table.

All linen is fine Indian cotton. Bath and hand towels are provided along with a few useful items from the Cornish Soap Company. And when you arrive there is welcome selection of coffee, tea and biscuits.

We understand not everyone enjoys an unplugged paradise, so you can easily connect to the Wi-Fi. There is also private parking.
